Watch while the signal is compressed

HoRNet Multicomp Plus
image-2973

HoRNet Multicomp Plus is a very high quality and versatile plugin compressor. It’s built on the foundation of the original Multicomp and features three compressor models (VCA, OPTO and FET) and an expander (based on the VCA model).

Multicomp Plus is perfect for every mixing need providing three compression colors, from the dry VCA to the very fat FET model, if you need analog warmth Multicomp Plus provides a different emulation for every model.

You don’t have to worry about gain staging thanks to the internal makeup gain algorithm and the auto input and output gain adjustment.

If you don’t like the hiss that comes with analog you can turn it off, and with the “Analog” knob you can dial the right amount of saturation.

Each model can be fed with an external side-chain, and the side-chain has two filters, a high pass and a low pass, both filters are full range, working from 20 to 20000Hz.

HoRNet Multicomp Plus features the standard attack, release, ratio and threshold controls, but brings compression to a new level providing a waveform display with both input and output signal so that is easy to monitor the processing that is taking place. Like every other HoRNet dynamics processor Multicomp Plus has a “RealGR” gain reduction meter. The meter moves at the speed of audio so you can “see” how fast the gain reduction is being applied, but the meter also has a peak hold function so that the maximum reduction applied in the last 2 seconds is always in front of you. High quality processing is guaranteed by 2 or 4 times oversampling that drastically reduces the amount of aliasing distortion generated by the compression algorithm.

A handy dry / wet knob allows you to create parallel compression with ease, the level of the wet signal is kept at the right spot by the adaptive make up gain algorithm.

Demo limitation

The demo is fully functional except for the fact that every now and then it will silence out, you cannot save parameter values with your session and the plugin will not respond to automation coming from the host.

Features

  • Three compression models (VCA, FET, OPTO) and one expander.
  • Auto make up gain algorithm.
  • Adjustable analog emulation level.
  • Separate hiss control.
  • Input and output waveform visualization, for visual compression control.
  • “RealGR” meter showing real speed gain reduction with peak hold.
  • External side-chain.
  • High pass and Low pass filters for the side-chain.
  • Up to 4x oversampling.
  • Input and output gain control with automatic gain adjustment.
  • Dry / Wet knob for parallel compression.

The plugin for every track of your mix

HoRNet ChannelStrip MK3 screenshot
image-47976

The HoRNet ChannelStrip MK3 is a versatile plugin designed for every day use, we designed a tool that you can put on every channel and gives you one EQ and two dynamics processors, everything you usually need to achieve a sweet mix.

In addition to the Equalizer an Dynamics sections the ChannelStrip MK3 includes:

  • Six different signal path routings (ex. Expander -> EQ -> compresor for a typical drum setup, or EQ -> FET compressor -> OPTO compressor for a typical vocal setup)
  • Analog emulation that adds saturation (each model has a different saturation type) and other non linearities
  • Oversampling where it matters, it means that each model has a different oversampling level when the option is activated so that the plugin always use least amount of CPU needed for the maximum quality
  • Effective metering: every module has its own input and output meter and level trim and since everything is built around analog models we have put there VU Meters instead of peak meters.
  • Input and output peak meters, in case you need to know the maximum peak of the signal
  • Automatic gain staging, so that the plugin is fed with the perfect level for its internal analog engine

One sweet Equalizer

ChannelStrip MK3 equalizer

EBU R128 Loudness Meter

HoRNet ELM128HoRNet ELM 128 is a metering plugin that complies with the EBU R128 standard. The plugin provides five different loudness measurement: momentary, short-term, integrated, dynamic range and true peak.

This new kind of loudness metering comes from broadcasting and aims to reduce the difference in the perceived levels of different programs, to help with this task HoRNet ELM also provide a normalization function that adjusts the gain in realtime so that no signal exceeds the suggested -23 LUFS.

This meter uses LUFS as measurement units (Loudness Units Full Scale) a LUFS is equivalent to  a dB but the difference come from the pre emphasis filter used before any loudness calculation, this filter compensates the non linearities of the human hear do that any measurement takes into account ho we human perceive sounds.

The five meters use different integration times and metering concepts:

  • Momentary: measures the perceived loudness of the last 400ms
  • Short term: measures the perceived loudness of the last 3s
  • Integrated: it’s the recorded loudness since the beginning of the measurement (or from the last reset operation) but discarding the longest silence parts or the highest passages that may occur in a long program (a movie, a tv show, etc.)
  • Range: is the loudness range of the program in LU
  • True Peak: this meter shows the maximum level of the signal in dBFS using a 4x oversampling (below 192KHz sampling frequency) to faithfully represent the inter-sample peaks.

Demo

We don’t provide a demo for ELM128, but we offer a 100% money back guarantee if you don’t like it!

Features

  • EBU R128 compliance
  • Momentary, Short Term, Integrated loudness metering

Get the pumping effect

BSharry Side Chainer
image-33072

Side Chainer is a production tool designed to help you achieve the typical sound of dance music that is usually obtained using a compressor side chained to the kick drum, top DJs and producers all over the world has used this production technique to create punch, space and definition in their mixes.

This setup allows to duck another track (usually the pads and leads or even the whole master bus) every time the kick plays, while pretty easy in principle this setup is not always easily accomplished in many DAWs since sometimes audio routing can be complicated, then you also have to understand how the compressor works and the correct time settings to use for attack and release in order to create the right rhythm.

BSharry Side Chainer helps you with this production trick because it doesn’t require any control track or complicated setup, the signal driving the internal compressor is auto generated by the plugin and synced to the host tempo with many time division options.

The controls on the Side Chainer are calibrated so that you always get a useful effect and allows you to reach the sound you are after in a short time, they are divided in four rounded knobs that modifies the time and shape of the internal control signal.

The plugin offers a visual representation of the audio, both the original and the modulated result, in the low part of the GUI you can see the input signal in white and the resulting modulated output in purple, two audio measure are shown so you can see the “pumping effect” in action.

Side chainer is designed by BSharry and created using technology from HoRNet Plugins

Fat wide and smooth chorus

HoRNet Chorus60
image-51107

Chorus60 is an emulation of a very famous vintage chorus found in an 80s iconic keyboard.
When this particular keyboard was released it only had one oscillator per voice and to make the sound thicker the manufacturer used this particular kind of chorus that became the signature sound of many hits like “Sweet Dreams”.
We took the original schematic, analyzed, simulated and recreated it in a plugin, and also added control for the internal chorus parameters like the LFO rate, Dry/Wet control and the chorus wideness.
The analog characteristics are reproduced, both in saturation and hiss but can be enabled or disabled independently.
For the best sound quality a 2x oversampling is also provided.
The secret of the sound of this chorus lies in the particular analog BBD used and in its pre and post filtering that we faithfully recreated, the same technology has been used by many other products of the same manufacturer including guitar pedals.
Chorus60 sounds great on everything from keyboards to vocals to guitars and gives you the sound that defined the chorus of the 80s but with the flexibility and controls of 2015.
When opened the plugin defaults to the settings used in its original design, its sounds good as it is but you can experiment with the parameters to adapt it to your needs.

Create moving sounds

HoRNet FilterSolo
image-2986

HoRNet FilterSolo it’s a resonant filter with many modulation possibilities and analog emulation. It’s a perfect creative tool for sound shaping and design.

The filter itself is a high quality digital model with analog front-end and back-end, if you use a hot signal on it’s input and leave analog emulation on, you can hear it distort like a solid state unit would do.

FilterSolo offer four different filter type: low pass, high pass, band pass and band stop with 12dB or 24dB slope. Each of the filters has cutoff and resonance freely adjustable. These two main controls can be independently modulated with two different envelope followers that has independent attack and release settings ranging from 10ms to 1s.

In addition to the envelope followers you have two different LFO that can independently modulate the cutoff frequency or the filter resonance, the LFO speed can be free or synced to the host tempo. Both modulations options (envelope and LFO) can be positive and negative allowing you to create a wide range of moving and interesting sounds.

If you don’t like the analog saturation or the hiss you can turn off any of them separately.

The GUI let’s you quickly adjust any parameter since they are all exposed, there isn’t any modulation matrix hard to grasp and no multiple pages. Every parameter is quickly displayed in the big LCD display in the middle of the plugin.

Shape that sound the way it should be

HoRNet SW34EQ
image-314
The HoRNet SW34EQ is an equalizer coming straight from the 80s. It’s the digital version of the EQ found in an American console and it features the typical analog EQ sound and controls.

This plugin is specifically modeled after one channel of this console used in the main room of Virus Studio, here in Siena, Italy. This EQ is very smooth and gentle, both in the EQ shapes (bells and shelves) and it’s almost perfect for general tone shaping, especially the low shelf gives weight to the sound without pumping it too much.

You also get an high-pass filter at 40Hz with 18dB/oct slope that can be activated even if the rest of the EQ is not.

Complete analog emulation

logo virus studioThe SW34EQ does not just model the EQ curves but also the saturation characteristics of the original device, we are talking about an 80s console here so there are op-amp everywhere in the signal path and the saturation mainly produces even harmonics, but as you crank the gain a lot of odd harmonics jumps out. Of course the hiss is modeled too and the whole emulation can be deactivated.

We also tried to emulate the workflow of the EQ and we put the frequency and gain knob on the same axis, the only indication of the current frequency for every band is on the outer of the knob, while there is no explicit gain indication for the gain knob, you only know that at maximum you have +/- 15dB of gain or reduction. This is for hardcore mixers who use their ears and nothing else to get the job done.

Testimonials and Reviews

This HoRNet SW34EQ has a lot of positives going for it and even the few negatives don’t negate the fact that it just sounds friggin’ good.  It really is starting to become part of my workflow and is basically in every new session at this point; usually multiple instances.

Keep your levels under control

hornet vu meter
image-232
Knowing exactly the intensity of the signal you are putting inside your DAW is crucial if you want to use your equipment in its sweet spot, this plugin is inspired by this thread on GearSlutz ( a must read ) and it’s useful to avoid recording your signals to hot.

Every A/D converter from the cheapest one to the most expensive has an analog front-end before the actual conversion takes place. Since analog must obey to the law of physics there is just a certain amount of current that you can pass without having distortion in the signal. Usually the manufacturer of converters set the +4 dBu (the “sweet spot” and what is usually shown as “0” on VU meters)  to -18dBFS after the conversion, so if the meters of your DAW reads -3dbFS while you record, you are actually driving the input stage of your converters to +15VU, that is A LOT of current flowing through your electronics.

VU meters where the standard metering system before the digital revolution and they still are one of the best way to evaluate the intensity of a signal, their response is intentionally slow to show the perceived loudness of the signal and not the peak.

Multiple colors

VU Meter colors
image-233
Choose between twelve different colors for your VU Meter, each instance of the VU Meter may have a different color. Use this features for your drums for example so that you can quickly see the level of each track you are recording! Red for kick, blue for snare and so on! Click on the colored square in the VU Meter GUI to open the color picker.

Automatic Gain

Auto Gain
image-234
Never let your signal peak too high! With the Auto Gain function the HoRNet VU Meter will adjust it’s gain knob so that the signal level ha it’s peak value to +2VU. This means that if the signal is too low the VU Meter will rise the gain, if it’s too high it will lower it.

The final result is that your tracks will always peak at the right level avoiding clips and distortion in any processor after the VU Meter

How to use it

One of the best way to use the HoRNet VU Meter is to put it on the track you are going to record, click on the dBFS reference number and set it accordingly to the specifications of your converter, then forget about your DAW peak meters, try to make your signal peak at 0VU at most, or if you want to be hot aim to +1VU or +2VU, don’t worry about clipping the signal, the HoRNet VU Meter will blink RED if the signal is clipping.

If you are not recording you can still use the VU Meter to drive other processors, using the Auto Gain function you will be sure that no overload will ever happen and even analog emulating plugins will be happy with the level of the signal

Features

  • VU Meter spec. conformity (300ms attack and release time)
  • VU Peak hold
  • RED Blink clipping indicator
  • reference level settable from -60 to 0 dBFS
  • input gain from -30dB to +15dB
  • bar color freely selectable between 12 colors
  • Automatic Gain adjustment with 3 different settings
  • Stereo display
  • Mac OS X (>=10.5 intel only) and Windows support
  • 64bit compatibility both on Mac and Windows

Classic Lo-fi digital delay

image-53278

HoRNet HDD-1 is an emulation of the very first guitar pedal digital delay.

This guitar effect is born at the beginning of the 80s when digital become affordable and has some interesting usage as delay and effect unit.

The internal ADC is a 12bit one that stores the sampled data in some RAM banks, but the level, feedback and the rest of the circuit is completely analog. This kind of scheme allows for some funny low fi effect as the signal is degraded more and more each time is resampled in the feedback loop. In addition to this, the frequency response isn’t flat at all with a sharp cutoff at 7kHz and the pre-emphasis and de-emphasis filters that plays an important part in the tone of the plugin.

We also recreated the analog saturation characteristic and hiss of the original effect, as with every plug in we make hiss and saturation can be turned off separately.

The stereo mode can be used to create a fake stereo effect, this is a guitar pedal so is mono in its nature, but turning stereo mode on puts the dry signal on the left channel and the wet signal on the right. When the effect is set to the 12.5ms – 50ms the delay time is so short that it actually creates a sort of fake stereo using the Haas effect.

The “Hold” mode records the last milliseconds of sound (from 200ms to 800ms) while the effect is not turned on and repeats them when the delay is activated.

To be more helpful to DAW users we also added a ”sync to host tempo” feature that syncs the delay to the specified number of 16th.

Features

  • Delay times from 12.5ms to 800ms.
  • Adjustable effect level, feedback and delay time.
  • Hold mode repeats from the last 200ms to 800ms.
  • Analog emulation.

Precise and complete de-essing control

hornet sybilla pro
image-360

Sybilla Pro is a multi filter de-esser, unlike other traditional de-essers Sybilla Pro has 8 different tunable filters to effectively find the offending sibilance and feed the compressor that will reduce it.

Sybilla Pro is a wideband de-esser, the compressor stage is driven by the sum of the output of the active filters above the threshold so that if the sibilance moves in frequency Sybilla Pro can follow it and never miss it.

Another peculiarity of this plug-in is that the threshold is not fixed, but relative to the signal, the compressor is driven by the sum of the filters which is computed against the unfiltered signal, this difference is then used as key for the compressor. What happens with this kind of processing is that de-essing takes places even in softer passages where with traditional fixed threshold de-essers the signal must be above the set threshold for de-essing to take place.

The heart of the plugin is the filters bank, here you can set the frequency and level of each filter individually, the bandwidth will always be 1KHz for each filter. For fine tuning you can listen to the output of the filter bank or each filter individually using the key listen buttons.
Each filter can be turned on and off, when turned off the filter is disabled and won’t be considered as compressor sidechain.

Sybilla Pro offers two compression flavors, VCA and OPTO, the first is snappier and has a hard knee, while the second is slower with a soft knee, for each of the modes attack and release can be set.

Features

  • Intelligent relative threshold.
  • eight filters for sibilance detection.
  • adjustable frequency and level for each filter.
  • switch to turn on and off each filter.
  • key listen for the entire filter bank and each of the filters.

Classic guitar distortion

HoRNet HDS1
image-55136

HoRNet HDS1 is a guitar distortion modeled after a famous pedal produced by a Japanese manufacturer since the latest seventies.
The sound of the pedal can be recognized in many recordings of the last 30 years, it’s a simple but effective circuit, that often is criticized for being too harsh sounding, for this reason many modifications have been created, and we decided do emulate also the most famous one the “ULTRA” mod.
The pedal’s job is to distort the guitar sound and this is accomplished by three different stages, the first is a simple transistor boost that also shapes the frequency response boosting the highs, the second stage is a dual op-amp amplifier that provides the gain for the clipping stage and also a variable lowpass filter (the more gain, the lowest the cutoff point). The final stage is a diode clipper that brutally limits the signal creating the hard distortion.
This kind of distortion is symmetrical and creates even harmonics, while powerful this distortion is not the most pleasant to the ear, the ULTRA mod overcomes this by replacing one of the diodes with a LED, this creates an asymmetrical distortion and introduces odd harmonics creating a more pleasant sound. In this mode also the pedal frequency response changes, it’s like you have two different pedals in one.

Features

  • Classic diode distortion
  • “Ultra” mod emulation
  • Adjustable effect level
  • Tone control from dark to bright
  • Analog emulation.
  • Automatic oversampling.
  • Mac OS X (>=10.5 intel only) and Windows support

Overview

HoRNet TrackShaper
image-281
The HoRNet TrackShaper is a “mix on autopilot” utility for those who want to have good sounding tracks without spending hours tweaking plugins.

The TrackShaper is based on the HoRNet ChannelStrip MK2 technology and includes several specific algorithm for different sound sources like: kick drum, snare, acoustic instruments, guitars, etc.

Each algorithm acts on many different EQ and compression parameter that you can tweak using a single knob called “effect amount” that dynamically changes the EQ and compression characteristic of the algorithm.

Due to the fact that each algorithm reacts dynamically to the input signal you have to carefully set the input and output level, the TrackShaper provides input and output gain knobs and level indicator: a green dot lights up when the signals are in the correct range.

For those who want quick result, the TrackShaper also provide an “auto gain” adjust feature, that automatically sets the correct input and output gain based on the level of the signal.

Demo limitation

The demo is fully functional except for the fact that every now and then it will silence out, you cannot save parameter values with your session and the plugin will not respond to automation coming from the host.

Features

  • 14 different sound source algorithm
  • adjustable effect amount
  • adjustable input and output gain
  • automatic input and output gain adjustment
  • handy input and output level meters
  • Mac OS X (>=10.5 intel only) and Windows support
  • 64bit compatibility both on Mac and Windows
  • Audio Units VST2.4 and VST3 format

Overview

HoRNet AutoGain
image-271

The HoRNet AutoGain has been designed with a specific purpose in mind: drastically shorten the time it takes to create volume automations.

When finishing a mix usually you have some tracks that need some volume adjustment here an there, so you start writing volume automation, but this is a long and boring task…

Here it comes the HoRNet AutoGain to the rescue.
It has two different inputs, in the main one put the track you want to automate, in the second one your volume reference, it may be a single track, a track group or the whole mix, press play and let the HoRNet AutoGain work its magic. It will try to keep your track level to the same of your reference, you can adjust speed, sensitivity and gain range.

Try it on a vocal track and when you are done put it into “write mode” to have the volume automation written for you! Have a look to the video example!

Testimonials and Reviews

for the price this plug-in provides more than enough functionality and quality for a project/demo studio. With its appealing price tag and simple user interface, the Pro Audio Web Blog gives the HoRNet Auto Gain a 4 out of 5 stars

The Pro Audio Web Blog

AutoGain’s main purpose is leveling vocals and lead lines, which it does nicely. A sidechain monitor button might be useful, but this is a bargain-priced winner – it makes you wonder why this sort of thing isn’t built into DAWs as standard. 9/10

Compress with style!

HoRNet Multicomp
image-306
The HoRNet MultiComp is a compressor in vst and audio unit format that provides you with three different compression models, a VCA emulation, a FET emulation and an OPTO emulation. Every model is equipped with a special oversampling mode and a characteristic analog saturation, it also provide an high pass filter for the sidechain The algorithm makes no compromise trying to achieve the best possible quality, still maintaining a reasonable CPU load.

Three flavors for every taste

HoRNet Multicomp compression modes
image-307
The HoRNet MultiComp has three compression models and gives you a wide palette of sound to choose from: the snappy sound of the VCA (inspired by the typical sound of 80s VCA compressors) or the fat vintage FET sound (inspired by the fast and big sound of the classic vintage FET compressor) or the smooth found of the OPTO limiter (with its peculiar program dependent release time).

Real GR metering

HoRNet Multicomp gain reduction meter
image-308
The Gain Reduction meter of the MultiComp visually show the compression characteristics of the chosen model. Every hardware compressor and many software one has fixed attack and release times to slow down meter action and make it more visible for the human eye.

MultiComp’s gain reduction meter moves at the same speed of the compressor detector so that you can visually see attack and release times, but sometimes your compressor moves too fast so we aded a handy peak hold display that shows you the maximum gain reduction applied in the last 2 seconds.

Presets

I have prepared some generic preset that you can use in your sessions, remember, these are just a starting point, you must tweak them to suit the content of your tracks.

All these presets assume that the input signal is around 0VU so tweak the input knob so that the input meter flashes red on peaks but for the most of the time it stays yellow.

(Sorry for the moment the presets work only on the Mac!)

Real-Time key and chord detection

songkey-mkii
image-57311

HoRNet SongKey MKII is a key detector, SongKey MKII works in real time analyzing a polyphonic audio stream (usually a song) and thanks to some advanced artificial intelligence algorithms identifies in which key the song is composed, SongKey MKII also tracks key changes during the song,

Since the brain inside SongKey MKII tries to “guess” the correct key, the three more probable keys are shown together with a confidence level for each key. SongKey MKII also displays a “note profile” for the song showing which notes are played the most.

SongKey MKII also analyzes the song as it progress and displays the current chord that is being played, a time window is used to identify chord changes and a different IA algorithm is applied to the note profile.

SongKey is very useful in those situation in which you don’t have an instrument at hand to find out the key of a song you are working on or if you are a DJ and want to make a mash up but you don’t know in which key a song is written. The chord detection feature gives you insights on the chord progression of the song so that you can better design your bass lines and pads.

Video Overview

Demo

We decided to not provide a demo for SongKey MKII because we don’t want to to cripple our product too much and limiting the capability of this plugin for a demo would mean to provide a bad testing experience.

For this reason we offer an instantaneous full refund within 15 days of your purchase if you buy SongKey MKII and you don’t like it

Multiband distortion and saturation

HoRNet Graffio
image-370

If you want distortion HoRNet Graffio gives you plenty.

Graffio is a three band distortion unit with selectable crossover frequency and three different processors for each band: a saturator, an exciter and a bit reducer.

Each of the processor adds a different kind of distortion to your signal, each of the flavors can be mixed with each other or bypassed, each band level is fully adjustable.

High quality processing is guaranteed by the same 4x oversampling algorithm found in HoRNet Magnus.

Of course if you want to distort the whole signal, Graffio works in full band mode too disabling the crossover and the high and low frequencies processors.

The saturator module emulates the classic transistor distortion, an offset control allows for even harmonics generation and a warmer sound.

The exciter lets you dial the specific amount of harmonics added to the signal, you won’t be able to completely distort your signal with it but this module allows you to spice up audio and make it thicker

The bit reducer emulates the typical distortion of low quality digital equipment, it’s  a modern and robotic distortion, useful if you want very noisy sounds.

Features

  • Three band crossover with adjustable frequencies.
  • Multi band and full band operation.
  • Three different distortion processors for each band.
  • Dry/Wet knob and bypass for each distortion processors.
  • Output level and mute option for each band.
  • 4x oversampling.
  • Mac OS X (>=10.5 Intel only) and Windows support.
  • 64-bit compatibility both on Mac and Windows.
  • Audio Units VST2.4, VST3 and RTAS format.

Nice compression and expansion

HoRNet CompExp
image-60314

HoRNet CompExp is a compressor expander based on the design of a commander chip designed for telephone lines and used in many electronic devices to reduce the noise.

The chip works with a fixed threshold (in our case is internally set to -18dBFS) when the “amount” knob is at a value greater than 1 the gain is increased by the specified factor if the signal is below the threshold, and decreased if above. If the chip is set to work as an expander, the contrary happens, the gain is increased if above the threshold and decreased if below.

The system is designed this way to permit dynamic compression on telephone lines and compressor and expander are used together in this configuration, but we found that these models sounds interesting by themselves.

The model of this chip is implemented in the HoRNet HDD1 where is used to keep the noise down in the delay feedback loop.

Internally the gain is compensated so that the output is always kept to around -18dB RMS

Good sounding digital delay

HoRNet DeeLay
image-340
The HoRNet DeeLay is a good sounding vintage digital dub delay, it’s capable of common delay duties and it’s also up to the most demanding creative tasks.

The vintage button gives the HoRNet DeeLay that typical early 90s sound where digital was still imperfect and with a character of its own.

The DeeLay can make endless feedback loops and changing the delay time changes the pitch of the buffer creating funny and interesting noises, the time parameter can be modulated with an LFO allowing the creation of futuristic wobbling sounds.

Since the delay is digital it has all the robotic artifacts of modulated digital delays instead of the smooth action of an analog emulated delay.

Try it on vocals, guitars or anything that needs space, the HoRNet DeeLay will surprise you with it’s spacey yet focused sound.

The HoRNet VCA is for you tweakers, it allows complex automation of signal level, working similar to the AutoGain, but in a more general way think of it as the VCA element in a console, or a synth, just change the gain of your tracks using any reference signal: a kick, a synth, a slow moving LFO, anything really.

And since the VCA is the core of a compressor, of course you get a compressor construction toolkit that allows you to create RMS compressors, feedback compressors, aggressive or more relaxed ones, just activate the internal reference and set the reversed gain. The scale factor now acts as a ratio control, have fun.

Vintage character

In the early 90s digital was still imperfect and many devices where limited yet still had a character. The HoRNet DeeLay incorporates that character, when the “vintage” button is turned on, using 12bit degradation of our high resolution recordings for its internal workings. Of course any digital device has an analog front end, so the “vintage” button also add saturation.

Endless loop creativity

When the feedback is set to 100% the HoRNet DeeLay enters in an endless loop mode when the level of the delay never decays over time, this is especially useful if you want to create futuristic sounds changing the time parameter, because changing the time on a playing delay changes the pitch of the delay!
Things get even funnier when you use the LFO to modulate the time, you don’t have to keep your feedback to 100%, just distort and repitch the delay and have fun.

Demo limitation

The demo is fully functional except for the fact that every now and then it will silence out, you cannot save parameter values with your session and the plugin will not respond to automation coming from the host.

Features

  • Delay time up to 5000ms
  • Sync mode from 1/16th to 1bar
  • Capable of endless delay generation
  • LFO from 0.1Hz to 10Hz
  • Time modulation
  • Vintage mode with 12bit ADC emulation
